What Does It Really Mean to "Get Your Baskets Ready"?

Hey Fam,

So I was praying with some close friends recently and the Lord dropped a fresh revelation on something we've heard many times before. Get your baskets ready.

Now when most of us hear that, our minds immediately go to one place. Low buy limit orders. And listen, that IS part of it. But as we were praying, the Lord began to peel back the layers on this and reveal that getting your baskets ready is so much bigger than just having your buy orders set. It's about getting back to the basics and truly preparing yourself to steward what He is about to release.

And I want to take some time to unpack that with you today because I think this is really important.

Think about everything we've walked through together over these months and years. Your Habakkuk plans. Writing the vision, making it plain on tablets, so that he who reads it may run with it (Habakkuk 2:2-3). We've spent time on this. Writing down what the Lord has shown you. Getting clarity on your plan. Not just winging it but actually putting pen to paper and saying, "Lord, this is what You've revealed to me and this is how I'm going to walk it out."

That's getting your basket ready.

Your low buy limits. We've talked extensively about setting those and also about not stacking everything at the bottom. Remember the dream I shared where my orders didn't fill because I was trying to get greedy at the very lowest price points? That was a warning. Spread it out. Don't try to catch the absolute floor on everything.

Understanding volatility and not being tossed to and fro. The Lord has said this over and over. Extreme volatility. It's coming and it's going to shake people. But if you've prepared your heart, your mind, and your plan ahead of time, you won't be the one panicking.

Knowing your price points. Being content in the Lord's timing and not running ahead of Him. Setting up your cold storage wallets and whitelisting your withdrawal addresses before the volatility hits so you're not scrambling when exchanges are lagging and things are moving fast.

All of this is getting your baskets ready.

But here is where it goes deeper. And this is the part that really hit me during prayer.

While your low buy limit orders and your Habakkuk plans are absolutely part of getting your basket ready, so is being prepared for what comes AFTER the harvest. Most people are focused on the accumulation phase, and rightly so. But what happens when those price points get hit? What happens when the harvest actually comes in? Are you prepared for the next steps?

Now if you just have a small seed right now, some of these next steps may not apply to you yet, and that is perfectly okay. Please hear me on that. God sees your faithfulness right where you are. He is not asking you to do something that doesn't make sense for your current season. But as you grow, these things will absolutely become relevant.

"One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much." (Luke 16:10, ESV)

We serve a God of order. He is not chaotic. He is not confused. He is intentional about everything He does.

"For God is not a God of confusion but of peace." (1 Corinthians 14:33, ESV)

And Scripture tells us that whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). Now I want to touch on something briefly here. The enemy often operates against God's children based upon legal access. What does that mean? It means that Satan looks for open doors, for things that are out of order, for legal ground to stand on to bring accusation and attack. This is an entire teaching in and of itself and we will get into it another day because there is so much depth to it. But the principle I want you to grab hold of right now is this: order matters. What we establish and set in order here on earth matters in the spiritual realm.

And that brings us to the practical side of stewardship.

You see, years ago the Lord started speaking to me about holding companies and other asset protection measures like trusts. And honestly, at the time I had no idea why He wanted to talk about that stuff. I was like, "Lord, why are You bringing this up?" It didn't make sense to me. I didn't have significant assets to protect. I didn't understand the purpose behind it.

But now, looking back, it makes perfect sense. He was preparing me. He was getting my basket ready before the harvest even came.

Think about that for a second. When you create a legal entity here on earth to steward and protect what God has given you, you are setting things in order. You've created the structure. You've established the framework. You've built the basket before the fruit drops into it. I know it sounds so simple when you say it like that. But God sees our actions and how we prepare ourselves to steward what HE is going to give us. He sees the steps of obedience even before the harvest comes in. And those steps of faith and preparation matter to Him.

"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.'" (Matthew 25:21, ESV)

Now let us be very clear about something. NONE of this is done by our own strength or might. It is ALL at the leading of the Lord and it is HE who even gives us the wisdom to take these steps. We don't move on our own. We don't form entities because some financial guru told us to. We move because the Lord leads us to move. And it is He who gives us the wisdom and understanding to do it.

Again, if you have little to steward right now, God sees that and it may not make sense to form such entities at this time. That is completely okay. He knows exactly where you are and He meets you there. But if you have a lot, or if you sense the Lord is positioning you for increase, well, it's time to consider wise stewardship.

A holding company gives you the structure and flexibility to protect what God has given you. It allows you to create additional entities underneath it as the Lord leads. It positions you to take advantage of strategic opportunities during years of significant gains. It creates a layer of protection that you simply don't have when assets are held in your personal name. And it gives you maximum flexibility to structure and move as the Lord directs.
